Ode To Powerlines
By Ike Sriskandarajah on Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
![]() The power lines that run alongside our streets and highways are so familiar that we rarely give them a second thought. Yet they crisscross the American landscape and provide the country’s electric pulse. Cartographer Brian Rosa and photographer Adam Ryder walked, camped, and observed life under the shadows of Rhode Island’s power lines. Living On Earth's Ike Sriskandarajah spoke to them about these ubiquitous pylons and their power over our imaginations.
