Return to the Kitchen
By Zach Johnk on Tuesday, August 18, 2009.
Cooking classes are now all the rage for the financially strained. All over the country, chefs and restaurateurs are seeing requests for classes surge. Preparing food at home is cheaper than dining out, and any money spent on learning how to cook will pay off in the long run. The demographics of cooking classes are changing, as well. They used to be dominated by older women, but younger men are showing more interest in the culinary arts. They’re interested in both lowering their food budget and in learning a valuable skill in the process.
