Life at $20 A Gallon

By Virginia Prescott on Tuesday, July 21, 2009.

Remember when gas prices spiked last summer to more than $4 a gallon? Many of us vacationed close to home, rode bikes, and suddenly found hybrid cars a lot more appealing.

Gas may be low compared to this time last year, but chances are it won't stay this cheap. World fossil fuel supplies are shrinking while car ownership is mounting in countries like China and India. Our guest Christopher Steiner says an inevitable rise in the price of gasoline will dramatically improve our lives. His new book is $20 Per Gallon. Christopher Steiner is a senior writer at Forbes and he joins us from New York.
