Word of Mouth
lost1.JPG

Today on Word of Mouth, why we get lost. Humans can create a 3-D map of Mars and travel to the most remote places on Earth. So why do we get lost finding our car in the parking lot? We’ll hear an argument for getting lost on purpose to help hone our navigational skills. And a father finishes a “great conversation” after his son is killed in Iraq. We’ll get an intimate view of a soldier’s life and the big questions about the nature of war that he wrestled with until his death. And we’ll meet the University of Wyoming’s only Iraqi student who lived through years of violence until seeking refuge in the US. Plus, researchers investigate controversial treatments for dementia that harken back to ancient and somewhat horrifying practices.
