Preparing for Same Sex Marriages
By Rick Ganley on Friday, June 19, 2009.
Since same sex marriage will be new to New Hampshire Town Clerks, we were wondering if there were any hurdles they had to get over to prepare. So we decided to check in with a state that's had gay marriage on the books for a little while. A study out of UCLA Law School estimates that same sex weddings could bring an economic windfall to New Hampshire businesses that cater to the ceremonies. Researchers predict that gay and lesbian marriages could result in as much as 54 million dollars coming into the economy over three years. But before the ceremonies, couples will need marriage licenses and that falls to town clerks. Since same sex marriage will be new to New Hampshire clerks, we were wondering if there were any hurdles they had to get over to prepare. So we decided to check in with a state that's had gay marriage on the books for a little while. Joe Camposeo is the Town Clerk of Manchester, Connecticut. He's also the Presdient of the Connecticut Town Clerks Association. comments

I am happy with the State of NewHampshire that wil lhave Same-Sex Marriage. Because it is right for our own people and allow Gay Rights to be in the State of New Hampshire. We want to celebrate it in this State of New Hampshire. The State of New Hampshire should allow Rainbow flags to be sold in stores, so everyone can feel free to be gay. Thankyou New Hampshire.
