Most people know that the 3 R�s stand for reading, writing and �rithmatic. But the buzz words of education have moved beyond simple word play. Now, children in New Hampshire classrooms deal with �rubrics� and �writing prompts�. To help close the gap between the language of educators and the language of the general public, NHPR has begun collecting words for a glossary called �Education Speak for the Rest of Us.� NHPR�s Jon Greenberg started the effort.
