The Obama-Reagan Connection

President Obama has been compared to his esteemed predecessors - John F. Kennedy, FDR, even Abraham Lincoln. One president you don’t hear Obama compared to often is Ronald Reagan.

The two men stand at opposite ends of the ideological spectrum – and have become symbols of their opposing political parties. But politics make strange bedfellows, I suppose. Here we are – 100 days into Obama’s presidency – and an astute observer of American politics says Obama and Reagan have more in common than we might think. At least in public opinion polls. Andrew Kohut is president of the Pew Research Center, and he joins us from Washington, DC. to point out the similarities between the two national leaders.
