New Hampshire's Supreme Court today decided it does have jurisdiction over the school funding case. And the justices say they will consider whether the state must hold schools accountable to provide an adequate education. The ruling comes less than a week after the five Claremont Coalition towns argued their case before the state's high court. Attorney Scott Johnson, the Coalition's co-counsel, explained the court's ruling to NHPR's Mark Bevis Backannounce: Scott Johnson is co-counsel for the Claremont Coalition; he was speaking with NHPR's Mark Bevis. The State Attorney General's office would say only that it is reviewing the courts ruling and would be filing a response by Feb. 1st.
