Molecular Family Dysfunction

By Virginia Prescott on Thursday, November 13, 2008.

Nobody likes it when their parents fight, but when those arguments happen inside our own bodies – in our genetic make-up – it’s an entirely different matter altogether. Some scientists have discovered that it may be happening, though. The genes passed down to us from our mothers can fight with those passed down from our fathers, possibly even contributing to autism and schizophrenia.

Science writer Carl Zimmer reports on the fascinating research in the December issue of Discover Magazine, and he joins us on Word of Mouth Thursday to give us the details.

Carl Zimmer is part of the ilk who refuse to even acknowldge where neurological dysfunctions come from. Anyone researching the affects from the tens of thousands of industrial chemicals, pesticides, larvacides, herbicides, fungicides, agent organge type substances used WIDELY to kill everyting from ants to bees, flies to mesquitos, beetles to you name it, besides everything else chemicals do, understands full well the consequences of our industrial chemical use.
Fetal cord blood, according to an NPR report, has as many as 200 toxins in it. Go to any feed store, NAPA, cleaning isle, etc... and count the chemicals used. 70,000 or more are invading our genes and causing cellular mutations.
Research from studies where children live on two levels of mountain areas in Arizona are published in Dr. Gabriel Counsens books, photos of their drawings included. The kids who lived lower, nearer to where agribusiness chemicals were used, had far more trouble with hand - eye coordination, drawing, and speech, compared to the SAME age group living higher, where exposure was non-existant. The differences were extreme.
This gene thing is a pretense so "scientists" can continue making funding money at the expense of truth and the profit driven chemcial industry poisoning you and I!
Besides poisoning the unborn through the placenta, everything people absorb, eat and drink affects the sperm and egg before and after conception. OCCAMS RAZOR
NOT rocket science but tragic that we are spending billions to "protect" Americans when we can't even protect the unborn
from the ravages of indusrial toxins poisoning us all.
Rachael Carson, where are you?
Go vegan and organic to reduce and prevent genetic mutations from the toxicity of "The American Dream," swiftly becoming a nightmare.
Even animals don't poison their young!
Bisophenal A- Methyl Bromide- Atrazine- Endosulphan----Ever read about these substances still used in the US?
We don't even know the affects of genetically altering food on our genes. Eating GM foods already containing pesticides???They caused organ shrinkage in the poor animals they were fed to. Another disgrace that will take twenty years to stop, like the nightmare brewing from cell phone use causing brain cancers.
Oh well, it's good for jobs and the economy of "health care." Sorry children, your capitalist nation , throw away nation, is throwing you away and replacing you with pre-programmed models....
