Historical Books for Girls

Rebecca Percy is a 12 year-old-girl who lives in a fort on the Connecticut river in the mid-18th century, when the river is the frontier and is subjected to Indian raids. Rebecca is the protagonist of Sarah Masters Buckey's most recent book, "Enemy in the Fort". Sarah lives in the Hanover area and this is her second book for pre-teen and early teenage girls. They are published by American Girl and are a part of its series "History Mysteries", stories set in the past featuring young female characters.
