In the race two years ago, Bradley lost by 2 percentage points. This time, the margin was eight points.

Bradley said a fundamental shift had taken place in New Hampshire and the country. But he said the goal of lower taxes and less government spending remain important.

“Join me in making sure that none of us give up, and that we continue to talk about those things that matter to our state. And you know what? The pendulum always swings back.”

Bradley asked his supporters to hold on to their campaign signs, because there may be a use for them in the future. It was the same message he gave after losing his seat to Shea-Porter two years ago.
