This afternoon a people gathered on the state house lawn for a peace rally. NHPR?s Dan Gorenstein attended.
Towards the beginning of the rally Arnie Alpert of the American Friends Service Committee asked the 70 some odd people in attendance to observe a moment of silence for both the loss of life on September 11th and the bombings of Afghanistan the past two days. The moment, however, ironically was only as silent as a police siren would allow.

Nabil Magali of the American-Arab Anti-discrimination Committee came with the message ?No More Victims.? Magali outlined an alternative way to seek justice.

86 year-old, Claire Gillingham says the bombings are inexcusable. And believes there wasn?t enthusiastic support for the action. Despite the current circumstances, is hopeful.
