As our infrastructure crumbles and urban centers become more densely populated, public officials and concerned citizens have rallied behind slogans such as "smart growth," "new urbanism," and "sustainable cities."
Mitchell teaches architecture at Columbia University, and is a partner at the nonprofit design firm Terreform 1. He’s worked with starchitects Michael Sorkin and Frank Gehry, joins us today with some ideas on how the houses, buildings and cars of the future could look radically different from the ones we see today.
