Wall Street On The Web

By Virginia Prescott on Monday, September 22, 2008.

Last week we spoke to a Business Week reporter about the negative tone bubbling up in the financial news blogosphere - an attitude perhaps more reflective of investor anxiety than we might find in mainstream news headlines.

Barry Graubart is vice president of product strategy and business development for Alacra, a content technology company, and author of the Content Matters blog, where, most recently, he has been compiling reviews of financial blogs.

We spoke with Barry after he returned from the BlogWorld and New Media Expo conference in Las Vegas. Barry moderated a panel at the weekend conference called "How Financial Blogs Influence the Markets." We asked him if the blogosphere is reflective of what we’d find in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and other financial media.
