Congressman Carol Shea Porter's campaign officials say former Congressman Jeb Bradley has distorted her record in charges he has made against her.
New Hampshire Public Radio's David Darman has more.
In his primary victory speech Bradley accused Shea-Porter of being part of a Democratic majority that was blocking efforts to drill for oil off the nation's coast and in wildnerness areas.
But Shea-Porter campaign head Pia Carusone says Bradley's GOP energy prescription is shortsighted and irresponsible.
"So far the Republicans seem to have supported the same old same old, which is election season ideas. It's not going to get the American people closer to reducing their costs or a real energy policy in this country that we can rely on for the next few decades."
Shea-Porter and other Democrats have advocated lowering the country's reliance on oil. They say that can happen if solar, wind and biomass technologies are improved and made available.
This election is a rematch of the race two years ago, when Shea-Porter defeated Bradley for the 1st District seat.
