Former Congressman Jeb Bradley told supporters during his primary victory speech that Carol Shea Porter is too liberal for the First District.

Bradley had just beaten fellow Republican John Stephen in a contentious primary.

But the former Congressmen couldn’t wait to challenge Shea Porter, who he said held the wrong positions on the nation’s energy needs.

…her energy policy is ban the drilling where there is oil. Force companies to drill where there’s no oil and then sue OPEC, that’s not lowering the cost of energy for people who are struggling to put gas in their tanks and oil in their furnace.

Shea Porter and other Democrats have said they don’t want to open wilderness and coast lines to drilling when oil companies were making gigantic profits.

This issue and many others are sure to be debated between Bradley and Shea Porter in the weeks leading up to Election Day in November.
