Teaching Non-Violence at a Time Like This

When suicidal attackers struck the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon nearly two weeks ago, Michael Ferber was teaching a class. The University of New Hampshire English professor had volunteered to teach a new course this semester. It's not literature, or literary criticism. This semester he's teaching a course on nonviolence. And as he tells NHPR's Mark Bevis, all of a sudden, on September 11th, his class took on a new urgency. |
