Birding With An iPod

Bird-watching attracts a wide variety of enthusiasts looking to connect with the great outdoors. You wouldn’t think, then, to combine birding with iPods, those omnipresent MP3 players blamed for cutting people off from the rest of the world.

But young birder Noah Strycker has repurposed his iPod - for iBirding. He's associate editor of Birding Magazine, and in 2004 he was named Young Birder of the Year. He recorded this commentary for public radio’s Living on Earth. Click here to listen to it.



I wonder how many hardcore birding enthusiasts out there would consider this cheating? I'm not sure how I feel...
