In May, when Senator Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer, rumors circulated that his malignant brain tumor was linked to habitual cellphone use. The rumors prompted CNN's Larry King Live to devote an entire show to the subject.

Millions of people worldwide spend a lot of time with cell phones held up to their ears, and concern over whether cellphones cause or contribute to brain tumours is an issue that keeps surfacing. Maybe you saw the viral video of kids popping corn with their cell phones. Millions of people did, before it was discovered to be a hoax created by the makers of Bluetooth headsets.

We wanted to find out what the latest research can tell us about the potential health risks of radio frequency radiation. Melinda Wenner is a science writer based in New York. She wrote about cell phones and the possible link to cancer in the Canadian magazine The Walrus.

I listened to your interview with Melinda Wenner with great interest, and renewed sense of hope that the media is continuing to follow this crucial health issue.
I have suffered for over 10 years from electrosensitivity to wireless radiation and other types of electromagnetic radiation. I was able to ascertain this by having to purchase expensive electromagnetic meters that measure microwave levels as well as lower frequency emissions.
I, of course, do not own a cell phone for my head and body react immediately to the radiation. I cannot use or live near cell installations or even WIFI antennas. Since the profusion and massive distribution of Wireless technology, be it WIFI or cell/broadcast towers, my life has been a nightmare. Trying to live a normal life has become increasingly difficult. I found I have to isolate my residential location from all this radiation.
My most prevalent symptom is disturbed sleep patterns and greater anxiety and shakiness.

Having studied the health science on electromagnetic radiation for over 10 years, I know full well brain cancer is peripheral to all the other symptoms and disease trends that can be subscribed to this pervasive toxin.
I honor your radio show's efforts to bring this area of harmful technology to the public arena. But to do a comprehensive job in covering the subject, you should seriously consider the multitude of health dangers and biological effects that has been attributed to wireless technology. I hope you will continue to investigate this secretive and elusive sciencein future shows. If I can offer any help providing or directing future content, please let me know. I have a wealth of information.

A listener named Christopher wrote to the show:

"Hi, I just heard your segment on Cellular Phones and their relationship to Brain Tumors. I thought you may find this information interesting and perhaps pass it on to your Listeners."
