Listening to Global Voices
By Virginia Prescott on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
That’s why we were thrilled when a listener sent us a link to Global Voices Online, a website with a mission not dissimilar from our own. The writers and editors at Global Voices keep track of what’s happening in the blogosphere all around the world. Whether people are Twittering about politics in Nicaragua or writing about poetry in the Sahara, the curators at Global Voices are paying attention. They tap into online communities large and small, and present us with a picture of what people are buzzing about across the globe. Deborah Dilley is a digest editor and author for Global Voices, and she joins us on the show to review some of the stories circulating online. Deborah will fill us in on: Was Antigua the Inspiration for the Little Prince?
