Researchers are on the prowl for alternative sources of energy, and they're finding that the kinetic energy produced by our bodies might be the perfect source.
And researchers are also focusing their scrutiny on women's chests. Women can use the annoyance of finding a comfortable sports bra to their advantage with a new invention that seeks to harness the kinetic power of breast motion. Scientists are developing fabric made from nanowires that will capture energy from motion, and hope to have energy-generating T-shirts and other articles of clothing available in the next five years. Considering that D-cup-sized breasts in a low-support bra can travel as much as 35 inches up and down (!) during exercise, it was only a matter of time before someone suggested chest-powered iPods.
