the nh board of nursing has recently rewritten the regulations to make it very difficult for for profit institutions to conduct nursing (specifically LPN) programs by demanding that the programs be affiliated with degree granting institutions. This is a particular hardship in the north country where there are few degree granting institutions. I listened to the program and no one is talking about LPN programs which can provide nurses in long term care institutions. There is a shortage of degree nurses to teach in all nursing programs which must be addressed but don't forget about the shortage of nurses.
