This week, we've been hearing excerpts from a roundtable discussion with teachers and NHPR's Jon Greenberg. Earlier this week, we heard their thoughts on standardized testing, the role of business and the increasing complexity of teaching methods.
Today, they talk about money. We hear first from Lynn Emery who teaches elementary school in the small town of Lancaster.

THIS WEEK, WE'VE BEEN HEARING EXCERPTS FROM A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION WITH TEACHERS.
THEY MET LAST MONTH AT A STATE-WIDE MEETING CALLED THE BEST SCHOOLS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE.
NHPR'S JON GREENBERG ASKED THEM WHAT THEY THOUGHT THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OUGHT TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT GOES ON INSIDE THE CLASSROOM.
EARLIER THIS WEEK, WE HEARD THEIR THOUGHTS ON STANDARDIZED TESTING, THE ROLE OF BUSINESS AND THE INCREASING COMPLEXITY OF TEACHING METHODS.
TODAY, THEY TALK ABOUT MONEY.
ALL OF THE TEACHERS HAVE GONE THROUGH BUDGET BATTLES.
AND FOR ALL OF THEM, THE INTERSECTION OF TAXES AND TEACHING IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF THEIR JOBS.
WE HEAR FIRST FROM LYNN EMERY WHO TEACHES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE SMALL TOWN OF LANCASTER.
