Exeter Votes -- At Last

Turnout on primary day is, in the words of one state official, huge. At some polls, the number of votes cast before noon matched the total for the entire day in the last primary. When the polls opened in Exeter at 7 a.m., New Hampshire Public Radio’s Jon Greenberg was there and has this report.

There’s been a lot of talk about undecided voters and I wasn’t on the scene for more than a few minutes before I ran into Bobbi Ricci.

But one person’s difficult choice is another’s great electoral event. Inside the old town hall, I meet, Jonathan Everett. He moved to Exeter a year ago and is enjoying his first New Hampshire primary. Jon’s been thrilled to meet the candidates, take the measure of them .. and

If Exeter’s town clerk, Linda Hartson, had any doubts that it would be a busy day, they were dispelled before the sun came up.
