Democrat John Edwards spent the last weekend before the primary insisting that he will be a frontrunner on Tuesday, despite being outspent by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
New Hampshire Public Radio's David Darman has more.
John Edwards told crowds in Portsmouth, Lebanon, Derry and Keene that he was committed to fighting for the middle class.
And he said he'd do that by taking on the big corporations that he says have a stranglehold on government in Washington.
At an event in Concord, Edwards took a swipe at frontrunners Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He said only he had the skill to fight and win against the entrenched power of these special interests.
"I've been battling these people my whole life. You can't nice them to death. It doesn't work. They will drive through you like a freight train."
The latest CNN/WMUR tracking poll from the UNH Survey Center shows support for Edwards growing a bit.
But the survey also shows him still trailing Obama and Clinton.
For NHPR News, I'm David Darman.
