Every Friday, we go to a different part of the state to check on the news there. This week, as it has for much of the summer, the news coming out of the North Country, has been the troubled Berlin Mill. On Monday, the company began a two week shutdown. The company has announced about 100 layoffs, and the town of Gorham is looking into seizing some of the company's assets.
