Barack Obama says the next president must think big and keep the public in the loop when it comes to diplomacy.

Flanked by several foreign policy advisors who served in the Bill Clinton Administration, Obama said he's the Democrat best equipped to defeat Republicans and restore the nation's international standing.

"I will offer a clear choice. My opponent won't be able to say that I ever supported the war in Iraq or that I supported using our troops in Iraq to counter Iran, or that I support the Bush-Cheney diplomacy of not talking to leaders that we don't like."

The Illinois Senator says the US must kill or capture what he called hardcore jihadists, but added that the nation should always approach the world with more hope than fear.

Hillary Clinton has called some of Obama's foreign policy goals naive and mocked him for saying time he spent abroad as a child was relevant foreign policy experience.
