Many families in New Hampshire are talking politics this fall, trying to decide whom they will back in the upcoming primaries. Democrats Hugh Davis and Nancy Fantom of Northwood are looking for the two-legged candidate who can live up to standards set in the four-legged world.

Reporter Cathy Corman recently visited the Davis-Fantom home at supper time to listen in on a political conversation with a twist.

Give.
Me.
A.
Break.

I have never felt so disappointed in a story on NHPR, or NPR, for that matter, in that it was a complete waste of time. Please. No more of this. There was no humor, information, or emotional center (I have no idea what you were actually shooting for)- and it was way too long. One interviewee professed to not like or know much about politics, but nonetheless waxed philosophical on the subject within the context of dog psychology (Deep. Very deep.). The other "whimsically" likens the candidates to breeds of dogs. (We even got to hear him change his mind about Obama! Enthralling!)

Whoever gave this one the green light misjudged. I forgive you, but expect better - WAY better - in this crucial election season.
