Joe Biden praised the New Hampshire primary for giving all candidates a level playing field, and then discounted his standing in current polls, which place him well behind the frontrunners.

"Your own polling data up here shows that the vast majority of people have not made up their mind, firmly made up their mind. This is wide open - absolutely wide open. This has been about money, name recognition and stardom."

Biden says he expects to win or lose the primary based on the force of his ideas and the judgment of voters.

He added that his record in the Senate proves him far and away the most qualified person to deal with the challenges posed by Iraq.
