Republican Mike Huckabee has officially entered New Hampshire's Presidential primary.

The former Arkansas Governor paid his one thousand dollar entrance fee after a brief meeting with New Hampshire Governor John Lynch.

As it happens, Huckabee filed the same day Kansas Senator and fellow conservative Sam Brownback dropped out of the Presidential race.

Huckabee said Brownback was good man and a loyal conservative.

"And I want to say how much I respect him for being a person who has stood by his convictions very faithfully and loyally, without flinching and without wavering, and I've enjoyed getting to know him as a colleague on the campaign trail."

A recent statewide poll shows Huckabee well behind in the race to win New Hampshire's Republican presidential primary.

The UNH poll measured his support to be just 2 percent, the same level as Brownback's.
