Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter
By Laura Knoy on Monday, September 24, 2007.
First elected last fall as a firmly anti-war Democrat, New Hampshire’s 1st District U.S. Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter has been trying to align those views with the political realities of Capitol Hill. Today we’ll talk with her about that, as well as her recent trip to China. Guest

Congresswoman:
I really feel the democrats are not doing enough to end this war.
Why do they feel they have to pass any war bill at all? We cannot keep voting money for the war and then say "our hands are clean". With no money, the war must end.
If we want to "protect the troops" the Democrats cannot keep blaming the republicans for blocking the attempt. You must (a) call the Republicans' bluff. Merely the threat of a filibuster does the job... we should make them filibuster and then make the president veto the bills...
the threats of filibusters and vetoes should not keep the democrats from doing the right thing.

Congress could introduce impeachment charges against the President and VP . Even if there are not enough votes it would at least be on record that some members really believe this administration has acted illegally and lied .This is worse than the Clinton behavior.
