One of New Hampshire's top Democratic leaders has endorsed Hilary Clinton's Presidential candidacy.

NHPR Correspondent Roger Wood reports.

Web resources:

House Speaker Terie Norelli, speaking in Portsmouth, said that the Democratic Party has a great slate of presidential candidates.

But she singled out the New York Senator's strengths in making the endorsement.

"She has the wisdom and the experience and the intelligence to get the job done, starting on day one."

Norelli said that she has met with Clinton and talked with her about her vision for America.

"She's gotten straight to work, setting out big goals for our country."

The Portsmouth Democrat said that she'll campaign statewide in support of Clinton, with several events already planned.

Norelli will serve as Clinton's New Hampshire co-chair, along with attorney Bill Shaheen, husband of former governor Jeanne Shaheen.
