Today is Friday, the day we usually check in with the men and women serving in Iraq with the New Hampshire National Guard.

The soldiers of the 36-43rd Company has been in Iraq since last fall guarding a detention center at Camp Victory in Baghdad.

Some of the soldiers are guards, some are medics, some are mechanics.

Specialist Jennifer Peryer has a different kind of job. It's part security, but it's also part public relations.

She spoke with NHPR's Mark Bevis.
