The town that Presidential campaigns forgot made history yesterday.

Last month, NHPR Correspondent Shannon Mullen reported that as far as anyone could remember, no presidential candidate had ever come to Marlow.

William Taft was supposed to stop by back in 1912, but, as the story goes, he missed his turn and got lost.

Apparently, Bill Richardson's campaign heard Shannon's story and decided to make history.

The New Mexico Democrat stopped by the southwest New Hampshire town on Thurday.

Mary Blank, the President of the Marlow Historical Society, attended the event and says everyone seemed to have a good time.
