Howard's Got Heart

What would this primary season do without Howard Dean? Could be pretty boring. Imagine John Kerry as your headliner. He may make a terrific president but when it comes to stirring up a crowd, and cranking up the public interest level in a democratic exercise in our little State--he ain't no Dr. Dean. Just as he was passionate in exhorting his troops in Iowa, he's passionate about the damage control process--Diane Sawyer, David Letterman, the last big debate What a day...you've got to admire his heart.
Hard to tell whether the effort is going to bring back enough support for him to finish first or second in NH, but the people in my circle were impressed by the whole show, and they're sticking fast. And what about Judy?...what fleece and clog wearing NH Mom couldn't relate viscerally to her very honest defense of Howard and her rural lifestyle? And on national TV, no less. She was terrific. If by some very long chance the Drs. Dean do get to the White House, it is going to be fun watching the adjustments both ways. And I do believe her when she says Howard's pretty much of an in-control guy. We'll see whether enough voters buy that line along with the passion.
