A wife's duty
I gained some respect for the Doctors Dean last night. Not enough to sway my vote in his direction next Tuesday, but after watching them together with Diane Sawyer last night, I can respect the balance that he and his wife have struck in the their lives and the pursuit of their own professional dreams.
I've been guilty of a few sly comments myself regarding her lack of commitment to her husband's presidential bid; but support can come in different ways and I found her commitment to career and family one I could agree with.
Not being a Dean supporter, I don't know how effective the interview is going to be with regard to reassuring his base of support after the Iowa caucuses. One poll I saw last night now has Kerry in the lead. This is going to be an extremely busy political weekend in New Hampshire.
One thing I've noticed is that I'm getting fewer e-mails from the campaigns since Iowa. Granted, there are fewer candidates in the race, but it seems like my in-box isn't filled with multiple e-mails from the candidates on a daily basis. One or two each at the very most. All still let me know that my campaign contribution would be most welcome -- but the real message seems to be letting me know where the candidate is going to be so I can see him in person.
Guess the power of the internet has been replaced with the power of going face-to-face with New Hampshire voters.

I just can't believe that
I just can't believe that you the press will not leave Dean alone, you people run it over and over like you want to brain wash us. Now let me tell you something the more you run it the more that I think you all need to talk to a SHRINK.You just cannot get past it,and it will not change my mind on Dean, he's been great. Thank you very much. Try and have a better day and give us some good news
