The Saddam capture--will it turn the current Democratic primary order of things on its head? "Joe, you were right all all along to support the war. How could we doubt you?" The Dean Swarm repents! I don't think so. As one of my colleagues said, "give it a week, give it a month". Yes, we're going to be hearing a lot more about the EVIL of this evildoer. And yes, the timing of a trial Spectacular! Spectacular! coincides neatly with the primaries and then the campaign. And yes, there is so much opportunity for manipulation here it boggles the mind. But revelations from Saddam can cut both ways regarding the real issues of WMD, and the cowboy timing for our invasion. Too many American lives have been lost, and unfortunately that is not likely to come to an abrupt stop. The world is better off after the capture for sure, but America has paid a much higher price than it should have to get to this point. And the successful Democratic candidate will continue to explain that to Amerca.
