The importance of endorsements
Yesterday a submitted an entry about Gore's endorsement of Dean and that I was dissapointed more in Gore than more impressed with Howard Dean - I did not really make myself clear and feel the need to do that now - I am dissapointed in Gore as a human being. Is it because it is because of "politics" that he does not see the need to be held to the same standards as you or I in how to treat people - The man was willing to put Joe Lieberman in a spot that put him ". . . . one heartbeat away from the presidency" and now tells us Howard Dean is the guy he is supporting WITHOUT even a courtesy call to Joe Lieberman. That is what I am most dissapointed in.
The afterthought in that entry was about my two friends who were interested in who Jeanne Shaheen was endorsing - I think the irony of that is that I had to tell them it was John Kerry! They did not know. It is a short 48 days away from the New Hampshire Primary and I know these women will vote - but did not know how they were deciding who to vote for!
I guess endorsements are very important to some!
