A Drop in the Bucket
This is just nuts. How long can business and their employees endure double digit health insurance premium increases--several times the overall cost of living increase? That's what it has been for at least the last three years for us. Something's got to give. The recent Medicare drug bill????? a drop in a bucket with holes in it. Most of the Dems are looking for a sizeable redistribution of health care benefits as well as the tax burden required to pay for it all. They agree that "more for everyone" is the way to go. The devilish differences among the plans is in how much more. Most of those differences, and they are real, are ranked below shirt color selection for your average voter. The real question is who is most capable of using this issue to get out the vote and get elected--and then providing the leadership to fix this burgeoning mess?
