A Dis for Iowa

So Lieberman and Clark are going to bypass the battle in Iowa, and save their powder for NH. My NH techy friends seem pretty blase' about the whole thing but acknowledge that it is kind of a dis for Iowa. I've heard Gephardt, who's been there, done that, has got Iowa pretty much wired. It probably makes sense for the late-coming warrior, Clark, but people feel its not a show of confidence for Joe--he did afterall win the popular vote for VP.
Speaking of Joe, what's this about John McCain as Secretary of Defense?? That seems pretty desperate.
Dean's not-Bush appeal is holding up around here but there are still concerns over how he'll go over in other demographics. I also read recently about the prospect of Republicans Dukakisizing Dean if he gets the nomination. Kerry, who I think supported Dukakis, is also vulnerable there. But Kerry would definitely look more at-ease piloting a tank.
