It is recycling day . . .

I do not think there is a day that has gone by that I have not returned home and found literature on my doorstep advocating for one of the Democratic candidates for president. I actually had a visit from a "Texas Ranger" seeking my support for Howard Dean. On the rare occaision that I have been here and actually spoken to any of these street walkers I have been most impressed with what the Kerry advocates have said (and done). Two women approached me one day while I was out mowing the lawn. I told them what issues were most important to me in a candidate and within 3 days I received a letter in the mail answering my questions (and only my questions) in more detail. These women, who were from Conneticut, must have taken notes, took the time to find out who I was and made sure I got the information, accompanied by a personalized note!

I have duplicates and triplicates of most everything! With the Presidental primary's coming up and a recent local election for various City offices I had TOO MUCH paper to recycle.
