New York Senator Hillary Clinton met with teachers in Concord Friday and laid out her educational priorities.

New Hampshire Public Radio's Dan Gorenstein reports.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says if she were elected president, she would want preschool available to all children.

She also pledged to fix No Child Left Behind. Clinton described the education law as more stick than carrot and said it lacked funding and good administration.

And she faulted No Child Left Behind for being too focused on tests.

"While the children are getting good at filling in all those little bubbles, what exactly are they learning? How motivated are they? How much creativity are we losing? How much of our children's passion is being killed? And how many teachers are voting with their feet and leaving teaching?"

Clinton declined to put a price tag on how much her preschool program would cost, but said it could be shared between Washington and the states.
