While Congress and the White House continue their debate on whether to send more troops to Iraq, the soldiers on the ground continue their missions.

New Hampshire has some 200 National Guard troops on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan, most of them are serving with the 36 -43rd Maintenence Company.

Each week, NHPR has been checking in with the Company, which is doing guard duty at a Baghdad detention center.

Today, NHPR's Mark Bevis speaks with Specialist Alex Peterson.
