Dana Colley and Billy Conway took their signature sound from the band Morphine and re-formed themselves with some help into Twinemen. All four members of Twinemen including singer/guitarist Laurie Sargent and visiting bass player Kimon Kirk join us in the studio to talk about their new CD and the mix of jazz, blues, rock and lounge that's found on it.

Morphine has been in the top

Morphine has been in the top three of my favorite bands ever since I first hear them when Cure For Pain was still a new release. In fact, Morphine is the only band to whom I've ever sent a fan letter (via e-mail). I had no idea until today that Twinemen existed. I'll definitely be tracking down the Twinemen records now that I know they're out there. Thank you, Liz Bulkley and NHPR for tonight's show!

If you happen to be monitoring this board while the show's on and want to ask a listener question, I'm curious to know whether the guys find themselves saying "Mark would really love this" or "Mark would really hate this", and whether they let those thoughts influence the directions in which they play.
