In about two weeks, Democrats will take the reins of power in congress. As the handoff approaches, New Hampshire Public Radio has been having a series of conversations with the two Republican congressmen who are stepping down and the two Democrats who will replace them.

Recently, we heard from the Republicans. Today we hear from Democrat Carol Shea-Porter who will represent the first congressional district. She has never held elected office before. NHPR's Jon Greenberg talked with Shea-Porter about what she has learned about Washington since the election.
