The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society sponsors “Winnipesaukee Wednesdays,” a lecture series that features various aspects of life on the lake from an historical perspective. On selected Wednesdays throughout the year, the programs are free and open to the public.

Recently, a lecture was presented to a packed house at the Winnipesaukee Museum in Weirs by Karen Thorndike, Director, Annalee Doll Museum. Karen and her husband, Chip, told the story of the New Hampshire doll-making tradition that began in Meredith, New Hampshire over 50 years ago.
