Voter turnout in the North Country has been strong since polls opened there.

NHPR correspondent Todd Wellington has the story.

Web resources:

The polls were busy in Bethlehem this morning, where two hundred residents had cast their votes by 10:30, surpassing the total number of voters in the primary.

Littleton's turnout has also been steady, where some said they were concerned about state issues, and others, like Brendan Donohue, who said they were more concerned about national and international issues:

"Well, there's a few issues, actually, but mainly probably Iraq, the national debt, you know, it'd be nice to actually get along with, you know, other countries."

Turnout was also strong in the city of Berlin, especially in Ward 2, where 150 voters had surpassed the total primary turnout by mid-morning.
