On Election Day, we take a look back at the long and storied history of the United States House of Representatives, which met for the first time back in 1789 in New York City. We'll see why it was created, how it has changed, notable moments and people in its history and what role the House plays today in the American democracy. Laura's guest is Robert Remini, Historian of the United States House of Representatives and Professor of History Emeritus and Research Professor of Humanities Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
