This is county fair season....and what fair would be complete without those equine feats of strength?

Freelance producer Cheryl Senter sent us this audio postcard from last weeks horse pull at the fair in Swanzey.

This was the first ever Draft Horse Farmer's Pull at the Cheshire Fair in Swanzey, NH. Up until now, there had only been a professional horse pulling circuit that made its way to the fair every year. Farmers Liz and Durwin Clark spearheaded the event.
Liz worked the loud speaker making the announcements while her husband, Durwin participated in the event, placing second with his Belgium draft horses.
1)The cement blocks and turf are prepared for the next pull.
2)The draft horses are pulled into place.
3)Audience watches the pull.
4)The draft horses lunge to pull the cement blocks.
5)A rainbow of ribbons waiting to be passed out.
6)Durwin Clark with his magnificent draft horses.
