Latest Information
- More than 5000 residents have registered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and officials say more than $14 million in FEMA grants and Small Business Administration loans have already been approved. The deadline to register with FEMA was July 24th.
- The state has also set up a hotline for flood information: 1-800-458-2407.
- The state has set up a fund to help residents recover. To donate to that fund, make your check payable to the State Disaster Fund and mail it to: State of New Hampshire Disaster Relief, 25 Capitol St., Concord, NH 03301. You can also contribute online.
- The Internal Revenue Service is granting tax relief to victims of last month's floods. The IRS is extending deadlines to file returns or pay taxes until July 25th for residents in the six affected counties, Belknap, Carroll, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham and Strafford. Officials also say in cases where insurance doesn't cover home or business damage, individuals can file for casualty loss for further assistance.
